Yay! It's FMA Day! After the long and exhausting hours of alchemic research and preparation, brothers Ed & Al tried to transmute their mother, failed and lost a part of themselves to the gate. For Ed, what was more horrific was losing his brother Al, sacrificing an arm in exchange for affixing Al's soul to a metal armour suit and living to face the guilt of dragging his brother into this mess of a situation. Went out with my friend today. She wanted to do some shopping, and in the end, we did - window shopping. It's kinda funny because we're polar opposites when it comes to shopping. She goes for the wants, I go for the needs. But at least we can both agree on one thing - we're very picky. So much so that we can take a long time to select the right thing and we end up not buying anything, which is good for our pockets. I'll take that as good training for resisting temptation. These are the questions I ask myself when selecting the right product: Is this the item you need? If you went shopping for ________, then why are you looking at _ *insert unrelated good*_ ? Is it within your budget? (Sidenote: Personally, I find that carrying very little cash with you really helps to cut down on spending. Don't bring your credit cards either. You can't spend much if you don't have enough money with you. P.S. It's also a good trollin' excuse when so...

Royai is the love between two awesome Fullmetal Alchemist characters - Colonel Roy Mustang and First Lieutenant Riza Hawk eye . 'Ai' ( 愛)  means love in Japanese. So Roy+Hawkeye+Ai = Royai. (Note the pun. Clever, eh?) Why is Royai Day on June 11? No one really knows why. It originated in Japan some years back, and forum discussions have led to several possible speculations: June 11 may have been the date a Fullmetal Alchemist chapter (which featured a significant Royai moment) was released. Awesome ending! I loved that the ending gave a decent closure for most of the characters and yet left it open for future possibilities. << SPOILERS >>

This anime revolves around the lives of Edward & Alphonse Elric. In a twist of fate, Ed lost his leg while Alphonse lost his body in a failed transmutation of their mother. In order to save his brother, Ed lost his arm, affixing Al's soul to a body of armour. They have always thought that the world worked according to the law of equivalent trade, where everything comes at a price. However, the philosopher's stone is something which gets you anything you want without a cost. (Or so everyone thought.) With this in mind, the brothers set off in search of the elusive stone that could help recover their bodies. FMA is an anime that really evokes thoughts about how imperfect the world is and how life can be so unfair. In terms of character, I think that Alphonse is more responsible than his older brother, though more naive.
