Ben 10 has proven itself to be a hit cartoon, managing to last several seasons before evolving into the Alien Force & Ultimate Alien sequels. Ben 10: Alien Force & Ultimate Alien see the main heroes as slightly older and wiser teens. Ben & Gwen have changed drastically within a short number of years from hilarious to serious. As a result, Ben 10 lost its old charm of fun, silly humour to sarcastic wit.

This is one heck of a spy/secret agent cartoon. Much more realistic than Totally Spies, that's for sure. Anyway, my first issue with the cartoon was the animation. It has that Grossology and Speed Racer feel to it. On hindsight, I realised that even with the Macromedia Flash animation, the action sequences were not compromised and still flowed smoothly, which is pretty impressive. The thing I like about this show is how Julius is able to pull off the corny or cheesy lines thrown in and still make it funny. Or maybe it's because there's Delilah as the counterbalance to the jokes. Awesome ending! I loved that the ending gave a decent closure for most of the characters and yet left it open for future possibilities. << SPOILERS >>

If I were to describe myself as a Bible character, it would most likely be Jonah. By some twist of fate, no matter how far I tried to escape, I somehow got swallowed by a big fish and spat out right back where I didn't want to be in the first place. I didn't want to be there because I was afraid that the people there would hate me. It seems like it's no use fighting against the current. It's time to sink or swim.

In the anime, Working!!, Poplar tells Inami about the fine line between hate and love. When you hate someone so bad that you have an unhealthy obsession with that person, it somehow shares similar symptoms as love. Now that I think about it, there is some truth to that. I have these conflicting feelings regarding my parents too. "I hate her" was what I told myself minutes ago, but my positive-side had to bring back memories of her when she's nice. Then my cynical side tells me, "It's all a cover-up to make herself look like a good and responsible parent." My parents once used to be my heroes, but then I grew up and knew better. All I wanted was for her to be proud of me. She never was, so I gave up trying. Her bitterness probably rubbed off on me, because I did whatever I wanted, said whatever I wanted to spite her, just to test her response and hopefully get a definite answer as to whether she loves or hates me. Jigoku Shoujo started off with great potential, dealing with issues common to mankind. However, the repetitions of the story plots bored me, and I found myself just waiting for the revenge scene after the victims untie the red string. Frankly, I think that the victims are somewhat stupid for having to turn to the Hell Correspondence, because there are so many other creative alternatives to get justice served. Besides, I wouldn't want to go to hell just to get another person to hell. That person is just not worth sacrificing my life for. I'd rather have that person go to hell while I enjoy my time in heaven. Furthermore, if that person did murder my relatives or friends, nothing I do will bring them back. It'd be best to find ways to expose that person's deeds and get them time in jail or major caning. However, I thoroughly enjoyed the introduction of Shibata & Tsugumi into the storyline and their link to Enma Ai, which made it interesting. << WARNING: SPO...

Inuyasha is an awesome anime. The best part of the anime is the characters. Miroku & Sango are my favourites. Sango's tough and very independent and Miroku's just plain hilarious. In the episode where the last Shichinintai appears, Miroku being affected by Mount Hakurei's barrier due to impure thoughts was so funny!! Seems like Miroku's the one who's actually suffering. What a comedian! If you're not a MiroSan shipper, read no further, cos that's all you'll be reading about, plus some spoilers from anywhere from the beginning to the end. I really enjoy Durarara!!'s unique style and narration of events e.g. telling the story from different perspectives, sometimes backwards. It's complicating in a good way and rather refreshing. I was watching episode 7 and that moment  Shizuo took out random group of Japanese rangers  cracked me up:.   Damn. I'm liking most of the characters already, especially Celty & Shizuo. As for the main high school trio, not so much. Anyway, I have no idea what the anime Baccano! is about, but I've read on forums that it's rather similar in style to Durarara!!. I might check that out some other time. I've checked it out and I loved it.

This anime revolves around the lives of Edward & Alphonse Elric. In a twist of fate, Ed lost his leg while Alphonse lost his body in a failed transmutation of their mother. In order to save his brother, Ed lost his arm, affixing Al's soul to a body of armour. They have always thought that the world worked according to the law of equivalent trade, where everything comes at a price. However, the philosopher's stone is something which gets you anything you want without a cost. (Or so everyone thought.) With this in mind, the brothers set off in search of the elusive stone that could help recover their bodies. FMA is an anime that really evokes thoughts about how imperfect the world is and how life can be so unfair. In terms of character, I think that Alphonse is more responsible than his older brother, though more naive. Still, their sense of responsibility towards each other is mutual, because Ed blames himself for his brother's predicament. Even though I don'...
