Michael Copon speaks

Michaelcopon: Going to church doesn't make you a Christian any more than standing in a garage makes you a car. The cool blue ranger speaks wisely.

Dreams & Ambitions

Bakuman has a place in my heart because it is such a source of inspiration and comfort regarding my dreams and ambitions. Since young, I can't remember the number of times I've changed my ambitions. I wanted to be everything from a police officer, photographer, author, actress, musician, singer to a superhero. And I don't see why I can't do all the things I love doing. So I shall continue. Bakuman taught me that. If you want it bad enough, there's nothing that can put you down.

Touched by an angel

I was re-watching an old vid and it still hasn't failed to inspire and touch. The Sky Angel Cowboy « Originally posted on Jul 1, 2009, 10:35pm » Today, I received a forwarded e-mail containing the following: Please take time to listen to this remarkable phone call from a 13-yr old boy to Houston radio station KSBJ FM 89.3. So profound, the station has it posted on their website. Click below to listen to it. It's short. Its so simple and yet so powerful! The Sky Angel Cowboy  or  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C0r_FbARIn8 After watching the video, I just cried when I imagined the scene. It reminded me of the time when my family's pet hamsters died. The video only goes to show how amazing God is. Bible Sayings « Originally posted on Mar 31, 2008, 1:10am » The end of the matter is better than its beginning, and patience is better than pride. I do like X-men.

Yes, it feels darn good whenever I get their jokes. Even better when I know who Stan Lee  Adam West is, after watching the old Batman TV reruns years back. It was lame, but great for random giggles if you like comic book  graphic novel "wham-bam-pow" word splashes. And just to clarify, Marvel is to DC as the Avengers is to the Justice League. So please stop saying that all the comic book superheroes live in the same universe. I'm torn between the two universes. (Don't ask me about the Infinite Crisis thing, because I have no idea what it's about, but I'm inclined to think that there are parallel universes and the villain intended to destroy the original universe to wipe out the existence of the rest or something to that extent.) But who cares about all that? Sheldon rocks. Sure, he may be a pain in the arse, but he can be like an innocent, adorable grown-up child sometimes. How his family puts up with him is beyond me. Raj snatches his lima beans ba...

Explosions are overrated

hughjackedman: : hughjackedman : Walking away from explosions is overrated. Running away or dashing through them (and emerging unscathed) is outdated. Someday, random explosions in the middle of nowhere would be cool. Like a poopie surprise.

Selfish Favors [4/?]

I present to you a lovely series by missturdle. Selfish Favors [4/?] : Synopsis: Roy Mustang was fairly certain that First Lt. Riza Hawkeye had no intentions of retiring to get married and be a stay at home wife, and that was one of the many reasons why he was totally and irrevocably in love with her. [A series of Stand-Alone One Shots explaining how Roy & Riza might realistically get married.] Pt. 1 , Pt. 2 , Pt. 3 Rating: T Snippet: Back then their days were full of actual work, and his evenings were full of pretending to be a playboy, leaving the dead of night as the only time they had to plan a coup d’etat. When she realizes they are bringing back this tradition of sorts she gives him a knowing look. _______ He’s in so much shock that she has time to explain, fairly seriously, how she broke into his apartment. She knows where he keeps his spare key in his office desk, and she’d stayed late that evening at the office.

Top row: Athrun, Kira, Shinn Bottom row: Cagalli, Lacus, Luna Watching an Athrun/Cagalli amv  and reminiscing the time when I: shipped Kira/Cagalli the moment I saw them, went into a denial phase after picking up hints of their true relationship, started shipping Athrun/Cagalli, miss Kira/Cagalli, yo-yo between the two ships, continued into GSD to find out AsuCaga developments with high hopes, had my feelings toyed with, got disappointed at the end, felt happy for Kira/Lacus, though a tad jealous, started shipping Shinn/Luna, felt better, shipped all my canon and non-canon pairings. Back to yo-yo. Darn you GS for the rollercoaster ride. I've been caught in the yo-yo ever since.

Nakao & Nobu - Lovely Complex

<< Warning: Episode 21 spoilers. >> Well, not really, since Nakao & Nobu have been together from the beginning. Great to see some plot development for those two.

Lovely Complex

Like the show's nickname "LoveCom", it's a love comedy anime about high school friends who can't get past the friendship barrier to become more than that. Well, the girl Risa does, but the guy Otani can't. After all, it's weird enough that Risa is so much taller than Otani. With the support of Risa's best friends and their bfs, who have had the road to coupledom much easier, they try to convince Otani that Risa's the one for him. But of course, in every love comedy, there will always be others who try to interfere. This face. 1 2 That face. 3 4 The you-just-got-pwned face. Maity in the house! YEAH! Funny how I only noticed this when Maity joined the party. Those faces. 5 6 Generated by Malionette's Icon Table Generator

Troubadour by Mary Hoffman

Image
This is a tale of a war started by the crusaders on the heretics seemingly as revenge for the murder of their monk. The tale of love is the substory about Elinor's pining for Bertran the troubadour, which is basically a jester-like singer/writer/poet. At the beginning, I was a little skeptical of the book due to it having a pampered noblewoman as one of the main protagonist, but Elinor's personality grew on me. The moment she made the bold decision that would drastically change her life, I was hooked. I am currently in the middle of this book and can't wait to find out the ending.

Strange Comparisons

2 things I want to talk about today: Transformers Prime and other opening credits A Korean drama VS Power Rangers? I've noticed that the cartoon openings I like usually have Jeff Kline, Richard Raynis and Duane Capizzi in the credits somehow. I've been seeing their names at the end of a number of my favourite cartoons since childhood (e.g. Jackie Chan Adventures, Extreme Ghostbusters, Men In Black: The Animated Series, Roughnecks: The Starship Troopers Chronicles, Godzilla: The Series and more recently G.I. Joe: Renegades and Transformers: Prime). So I just wanna take my hats off to these hardworking people and thank them for giving me awesome childhood memories. Next up, I'll be comparing a certain character from a Korean drama called 찬란한 유산 / Chanranhan Yusan (a.k.a. Shining Inheritance / Brilliant Legacy / Beautiful Legacy) to a Power Ranger. For some reason, Woo Huan reminds me of Blake Bradley (Power Rangers Ninja Storm...

Don't forget 3.Oct.11

Yay! It's FMA Day! After the long and exhausting hours of alchemic research and preparation, brothers Ed & Al tried to transmute their mother, failed and lost a part of themselves to the gate. For Ed, what was more horrific was losing his brother Al, sacrificing an arm in exchange for affixing Al's soul to a metal armour suit and living to face the guilt of dragging his brother into this mess of a situation. After bouts of depression, tough love and encouragement of others, Ed & Al decide to pull themselves out of the rut, burn down their house and embark on a long journey in search of their hope of regaining their bodies - the philosopher's stone. 3 Oct '11 - the day Ed & Al burnt their house down and made a promise to carry on. I just love it that FMA is a touching story of brotherhood, sacrifice, loss, redemption, friendship, love, sin and war, a story of lives intertwining. It's great how the b...
