Annoyed

Ugh. What a bad day. It took 20 min for 1 Si Bei Slow bus to show up while 3 rounds of other buses drove past. I mentally pictured those drivers mockingly waving at me as they passed by. It turned out that certain bus services were affected by the F1 race, which is a waste of taxpayers' money and a health hazard, imo. Thanks but no thanks. In a Mr. Bean sort of predicament, I was in a rush for an appointment, only to be hindered by survey people and large people who walked very slowly and took up half the walkway and also walked in twos . Later on, something happened which I'd rather not talk about. (High five, Jimbo.) But it really casts doubt on my ability to make friends. Not that I had any (ability) in the first place. (Looks like Sheldon and I share something in common. Raj and I would make great friends because we wouldn't have to talk about anything and can just sit in comfortable silence.) The up side of the day was that I got to drink a Melayan triple di...

Clean up on aisle 7

Image
For the past week, I've been feeling this urgent need to clean up my house. It's been weighing down my heart for a long time actually, because I can be an obsessive organised freak sometimes. Let's just say that whenever I see a mess, my brain twitches, and it stresses me out. Considering that I live in a dump, it's a wonder how I survived all these years. Perhaps turning my brain switch off and not giving a damn was my defence mechanism. Not that I haven't tried anything to solve the problem, but clearing out the junk is an impossible task. Firstly, it's like Hydra - you cut off one head and nine more grow out, or something. Secondly, it's like opening Pandora's box - you'll never know what you'll find inside. Maybe live roaches, lizards and an assortment of insects and decomposers. Dead ones if you're lucky. Not to mention the smell. I've seen generations of creatures come and go that I can guess who's who in the house food c...

The Purge - Ben 10: Ultimate Alien

Image
Finally, after the long hiatus, Ben 10 is back. The worn-out revolving chair creaked under my weight as I swiveled around lost in the thought that I have at least one more thing to look forward to next week. Thank you,  PhantomDudeZ , for the episodes from which I can get screencaps. << Warning: for ages 13+ due to slight fluff and gore. Spoilers for Ben 10: Ultimate Alien episode 33, "The Purge" >>

Digimon

Image
Ahh... the good old childhood days when I could give you so many reasons why Digimon is so much better than Pokemon. Now I'm just old and forgetful. http://fivecentimeterspersecond.tumblr.com/  @ http://digitalmonsterconfessions.tumblr.com/post/9929127769

Encouragement amidst angst - Supernatural

I was watching Supernatural Season 5 Episode 11, "Sam, Interrupted" and it was one hell of a mindasdf. But despite all the rage and madness, the closing scene really struck me so I decided to post it here in the hope that it may provide angry people like us some sort of encouragement that we're not alone. Heck, the brothers are like the earthly parallel of the heavenly war. Having the weight of the world on your shoulders is no easy feat. It sucks. So yeah, just when I think I'm having it bad, there's always someone out there who's had it worse. Closing scene (*parts have been edited out due to spoilers)

Kids say the wisest things without knowing it

Kids may say the funniest things, but they can be wise beyond their years... even without knowing it. I was on the train earlier and I overheard this little boy talking to his sister. His sister was eating some candy and she offered some to him, but he refused and gave some golden advice. "姐 (sister), don't eat it. Too sweet. Later you get diabetes." Oh my word, that boy is gonna be a health specialist someday. You can tell what the children will grow up to be by what they say. For example, Why so sad? = Counsellor Because I said so. = Mother You're fired. = Boss What's the problem? = Doctor Boo! = Ghost in the haunted house in the amusement park Really? I don't think so. = Critic/Skeptic How do I look? = Model *screaming cries* = Child star Just kidding. :)
