Favourite FMA Characters

LOL. Anyway, I saw this list online and decided to do one too.

The character(s) I never expected to love as much as I do now:

• Olivier Armstrong. Her bluntness and tough treatment of Briggs ticked me off at first, but then I found out how badass she is at protecting her subordinates.
• 
  
• Scar. When he changed for the better, his revenge-seeking heart was gone, but his badassness in battle still remains.
• 
  
• Greed. Seeing how he treated his chimera friends, I had a change of heart. Being Greedling makes him more awesome.

The character(s) that everyone love(s) but I hate:

• Ed & Al's Sensei. I don't know why, but I just don't like how she taught Ed & Al the "All is one, one is all" lesson. Scratch that, she's cool.

• Edward Elric. I don't hate him 100% and sure, FMA is about him, but I can't stand his emo moments, which was plenty in the 1st anime. (I like him better in Brotherhood.) I don't get how he can win Roy Mustang in popularity polls. I may actually be one of those fans who wishes FMA was TFA (The Flame Alchemist).

The character(s) that I love that everyone else hate(s):

• Alphonse Elric. I'm not sure if everyone else hates him, but he's definitely not as popular as his bro. Everytime he takes in some poor stray, it makes me go aww...

• May Chang. Her cool Xing alchemy and her little panda cat Shao May just ooze cuteness. How else could Scar have shown his motherly side? If it weren't for you, May-chan, I'd be crying really hard at chapter 100 onwards.

The character I used to love but not anymore:
None. Still love the Mustang-tachi gang and always will.

The character I want to be like:
Riza Hawkeye. No question about it.

The character I’d slap:
Winry. She is just plain annoying. She whacks Edward and cries a lot in the 1st anime.
Kimblee. Bradley. Mrs Bradley. Pride. Shou Tucker. Tucker. Tucker.

Pairings that I love:

1. Roy/Riza
2. Havoc/Riza
3. Ling Yao/Ran Fan
4. Denny Brosh/Maria Ross

Why I love Royai (611):

1. Their actions speak louder than words. Secret codes are hot.
2. The complexity of their relationship across multiple domains (father's student/sensei's daughter, comrades, superior/subordinate).
3. It's not some fluffy romance.
4. One's strength complements the other's weakness (Riza keeps Roy on the right track when Roy loses his cool, Riza protects Roy when he is useless, Roy protects Riza when her bullets are useless, etc etc.)

A pairing that I dislike:

• EdWin (503). Mainly because I dislike Winry. I'd rather she be alone. Ed deserves someone better. But I changed my mind after watching the Brotherhood finale.

• Yaoi or Yuri pairings. EdRoy (520) and Elricest alone is just wrong on so many levels. I'm not trying to bash any of such fans, but I'm just saying that it's generally not my cup of tea. But I somehow find RoyHavoc strangely attractive.

My opinion on Royai 'rival' ships:

1. RoyXEd = Paedophilia. Riza & Winry's gonna kill them cry.
2. RizaXEd = Seems like someone drew names from a hat. On second thought, it could happen during the time when Riza tells Ed about Ishbal.
3. RoyXWinry = They rarely even talk to each other. How in the world could this happen?
4. RizaXWinry = Roy & Ed's gonna kill them cry.
5. RoyXHughes = I can only imagine Hughes gushing, "Look at how cute Elysia is! Have you seen my beautiful Gracia?" while holding hands with Roy. Way to ruin the moment, Hughes.
6. RizaXHavoc = A plausible pairing. Maybe Havoc's luck might turn for the better. Sounds hot.
7. RoyXHavoc = No. Add Riza in. If it's about them fighting over Riza, then perhaps.
8. RizaXFuery = Poor Fuery. He'd suffer under Riza's domination. Nope, can't see it happening.
9. RoyXGracia = I'm calling Hughes.
10. RizaXGracia = I'm calling Hughes.
11. RoyXOlivier = No way. Olivier will kill him first.
12. RizaXKimblee = Hm.. I wonder if that's the reason Kimblee teased insulted her during the Ishbal war.
13. RoyXLust = Oh boy. Poor Havoc lost another girl to him. (But congratulations to Travis Willingham & Laura Bailey, who indeed play Roy & Lust.)
14. RizaXGreed = Which Greed? XD
15. Other possible Roy/Riza pairings? >.> I've read some Scar/Riza on FF.net. It was surprisingly good, btw.

Favorite character:
Riza Hawkeye, because she is calm, tough and gentle at the same time. Her spot-on sniping is just plain awesomeness.

My three favorite characters:
Roy, Riza & Ling Yao

My three least favorite characters:
Shou Tucker (for obvious reasons - experimenting with his wife, daughter and pet dog), Fuhrer Bradley (for harming Roy), Pride (for being an annoying brat)

Character I am most like:
In terms of personality and work ethic, Riza. Work and personal life seldom mix. Quiet and stubborn. I can also be somewhat idealistic and ambitious like Mustang.
