Delilah & Julius: More than flashy
This is one heck of a spy/secret agent cartoon. Much more realistic than Totally Spies, that's for sure. Anyway, my first issue with the cartoon was the animation. It has that Grossology and Speed Racer feel to it. On hindsight, I realised that even with the Macromedia Flash animation, the action sequences were not compromised and still flowed smoothly, which is pretty impressive.
The thing I like about this show is how Julius is able to pull off the corny or cheesy lines thrown in and still make it funny. Or maybe it's because there's Delilah as the counterbalance to the jokes. And with Al, the words "groovy, baby" still exist in the vocabulary, just like Austin Powers. 😀 Whatever it is, rock on, Al! 😉
