The Zeta Project

After a week-long Galactik Football marathon, I am finally done with GF season 2. And it was one awesome ride. I've started on season 3 but it seems like it's going to be a rocky road for the Snow Kids with many changes in store. And I mean many. The spoilers may ruin your GF experience. The good news is that there have been speculations of season 4 coming up in 2011 or 2012. Yay for now!

Meanwhile, I'm going back to watching The Zeta Project after a long hiatus. The Zeta Project is a great show and a spin-off from the DC Comics series Batman Beyond, chronicles the futuristic adventures of Zeta (voiced by Diedrich Bader of The Batman), a renegade government-designed robot, and Ro (voiced by Julie Nathanson of Speed Racer), a streetwise 15-year-old delinquent in the year 2040.

Both are fugitives on the run from an establishment that doesn't understand them. Originally designed as a high-tech weapon for the government, Zeta defies his planned "destruction" and flees in search of his creator, trying to stay a step ahead of ruthless operatives and agents such as West (voice by Smallville's Michael Rosenbaum), intent on his capture. Ro is a savvy runaway from a state-supervised home for girls searching for her long-lost family. With Zeta's awesome gadgetry and moral conviction coupled with Ro's street smarts and humor, the two help each other and those they meet along the way. So expect nostalgic late '90s character designs and action-packed sci-fi adventure.
