All Aboard The Hype Train!

Timeless is back for Season 2! I was so excited when I saw it pop up on my TVTime dashboard (Sidenote: Join TV Time using this referral link and get a month of VIF free! https://tvtime.com/r/l9lz). All this while, I had thought it had been cancelled and had one less thing to look forward to this year. Well, am I glad that I was wrong.

Secondly, although I'm 2 years late to the Voltron: Legendary Defender series, I finally stopped procrastinating on getting around to it. I'm 5 episodes in, and it has been a blast so far. The characters and their corresponding colours are slightly different from what I remember of the series I grew up with, Voltron: Defender of the Universe (I can only recall watching old reruns of the season finale) and Voltron: Third Dimension. The most obvious difference is that Shiro wasn't in it but I do remember Allura being the only female pilot, which was cool. That was probably the main reason I kept watching it. Unfortunately, it had 90's CGI and forgettable dialogue. So really, the newer reboots couldn't get any worse than that. Usually, my initial reaction to reboots would be to frown upon them, especially with the floodgate of reboots wide open. With TMNT being constantly rebooted, Ben 10 growing younger each time I see him, Teen Titans having been reduced to Teen Titans Go, etc. You get my drift. Thus, most reboots would have slipped past my radar and gone unnoticed.

However, what prompted me to watch this Voltron reboot is that the crew behind Avatar: The Last Airbender is behind it. And if that is any indication, it's gonna be that good. And seeing that it has been renewed for Season 6, I'd say that's pretty incredible.
