Contagious

End of the Week Rant (Skip this section if you wish)

The past week, I had been unintentionally giving people scares with sudden appearances, sudden disappearances, sudden appearance around the corner, sudden appearance of things, etc. It seems my power of invisibility grows stronger each day.

To the kid who soils his/her pants, there's no need to be embarrassed (though it's not something to be proud of either.) Crap happens. There's no harm done, unless the stench causes mass puking and simultaneous diarrhoea.

Anyway, I had two cool rollercoaster rides last night, in my dreams. I could have gone on two more rides if I hadn't been rudely awakened. The first was a prehistoric ride, the second was a Star Wars ride, and I can't remember the other two.

G.I. Joe: Renegades

G.I. Joe: Renegades more than made up for the other two rides. It's no kid's show, that's for sure, but it's not too violent to turn off a regular viewer. It's a pity that this series doesn't have a significant fanbase under the umbrella of the G.I. Joe fanbase and often goes unnoticed. The character designs are below par, but I've gotten used to it.

<< Warning: Spoilers for G.I. Joe: Renegades episodes 19 & 20 "The Anaconda Strain" & "Prodigal" >>

Episode 19 "The Anaconda Strain"

Looks like the title had been ripped off from "The An*******a Strain". The plot is nothing we haven't seen before. In fact, it is a clone of mass pandemic movies and TV series. That said, the episode still has its points of suspense and I couldn't find any major flaw to pick on. I liked it. End of story.

Episode 20 "Prodigal"

Ripcord's reappearance threw in a surprising twist to the plot, but his condition is so predictable, even Tunnel Rat could piece the puzzle for viewers immediately. I've a couple of hypotheses related to:
  • Scarlett's father
  • Snake Eyes & Scarlett
but I may be wrong since I'm not a regular Joe, so don't take my word for it.
  1. Snake Eyes is Scarlett's father-figure or brother-figure. (Darn.)
  2. Scarlett is likely to end up with Duke. (Please, no.)
