Madison Avery trilogy by Kim Harrison

I absolutely love stories about the supernatural and life after death. Some time back, I chanced upon Kim Harrison's Madison Avery series. Recently, I was overjoyed to find the 2nd book in the series but unfortunately, didn't get the chance to finish it before it was due. Hopefully, I'll find it again. In the meantime, I would like to recommend it to fans of the supernatural. Enjoy!

It's about a girl teen who escapes death by grabbing hold of her murderer's amulet, leaving her dead yet alive. Because of this, she's introduced to the realm of the supernatural and a greater battle between light and dark reapers. She's also given the responsibility of being in charge of reapers as she battles against fate itself by trying to save the souls she's meant to take.
