Huntik: Secrets and Seekers

Why I like the show: it's entertaining, has cool fight scenes, magic and monsters ( I am a real sucker for fantasy. ) and somehow manages not to be overwhelmingly cliche even with an apparently overdone plot and characters. It even has witty lines. Yes, isn't that amazing? ; D What could have been better: the animation. Sometimes the characters' faces or action sequences were kind of odd or awkward. - Firey

I'm not really into the fantasy type of shows, but there's something different about Huntik that I can't quite put my finger on. It could be the opening theme, which can play for hours in my head and I'll still not get tired of it.

I have to agree that the animation is average and some lines can get really weird & awkward. In the opening theme, the scene where Grier fought Dante and tripped was plain awkward but hilarious on hindsight.

Whatever it is, I'm still looking forward to season 2.

Cherit's voice ( -brick'd- XD ). - Firey

The most annoying voice ever. He's voiced by Dante's VA, btw.

Usually when I'm watching an episode of a show on the Internet I'll fast forward it past the opening song but I don't do that for Huntik. - Firey

Yeah, I noticed that too. My brother won't admit it, but he hangs around the TV whenever the Huntik opening's on.

Maddie Blaustein shared the role of Cherit's voice. I think Marc Thompson took over after that because she died. - Firey

Oh no... I didn't know that. :'(

After having watching most episodes of Huntik thus far, I have discovered many "What the hell?!" moments:

(Warning: may contain spoilers)

• Cherit's voice sounds like someone scratching his/her nails across the chalkboard. And Cherit is voiced by the voice actor of Dante.
• The characters like to talk and interrupt each other a lot. There's almost no time where someone isn't talking. Dialogue is rushed.
• Zhalia has a weird laugh (reminds me of Sokka in Avatar; the Boiling Rock episodes).
• Zhalia & Sophie flinging themselves at Dante & Lok is just awkward and so unlike them.
• Lok/Sophie & Dante/Zhalia's relationships progressed too suddenly.
  

One more thing, I just can't stand Dante's moustache-goatee, so I took the liberty of removing it.

So true. I wonder if that'll ever happen in Season 2. It would put Lok to shame. XD

He probably looked like that when he was around Lok's age.
