My Thoughts on Supernatural Seasons 1 - 10
<< Warning: This show is for ages 21+ >>
This show has been running for so long, fatigue often sets in whenever I binge-watch this series, yet I can't stop watching it out of kinship to the beloved characters.
Dean and Sam's brotherly love towards each other is admirable, though the desperate measures they take to save each other are rather questionable at times. They love yet hate each other, flaws and all. These boys have been through hell and back for each other and have suffered unimaginable consequences. Such is life - we live, make mistakes and live with the consequences of our actions. All those emotional love-hate struggles are so relatable.
Castiel is such a delightful addition to the team. I can't imagine SPN without him. Even Crowley. Can you imagine that? I hated him at first. Over time, he became such a staple of the show and pretty much the Winchesters' punching bag that you can't help but sympathise with him. (But of course, I am a little biased because of his acting history as "C.J. Yates" in "Soldier of Fortune Inc.")
Besides the main cast, the supporting characters have been great too - Bobby, Jo, Jodie, Charlie, etc. I really do hope to see more cameos of them. Most of all, I want to see the Winchester bros finally get their shot at a peaceful life. This enduring and endearing show deserves to go out swinging.
"Carry on, my wayward son. There'll be peace when you are done. Lay your weary head to rest. Don't you cry no more." - Kansas
