Stay Alert, Stay Safe

Just a shout out to everyone to stay alert while crossing the roads.

Yesterday, while I was heading to work, a father in front of me crossed the pedestrian crossing at a four-way road junction, with his two little girls hand-in-hand, while staring at his mobile phone, and was just about to make a phone call. The traffic lights had just turned green for the vehicles but without checking, he had assumed they were for the pedestrians.

Thankfully, the drivers on the incoming path had noticed them and began honking at them. At the same time, I shouted at them and, finally realising the gravity of the situation, the father pulled his daughters back on this side of the road.

Thank God everyone was safe!
