Fair-weather Friend

*Sigh* It's a burden not being able to be straight-up honest with a friend about particular habits that irk me like:
  • cancelling our hangouts at the last minute when I'm already waiting at the meeting place.
  • being hours late and then changing the meeting place for one's convenience
  • not providing a reason for cancelling the hangout or coming up with unbelievable excuses for being a no-show
  • not being open to share about one's life but probing for more information about mine.
  • insisting on hanging out but have no plans for the outing and no topics to chat about i.e. splitting ways to check out some shops
  • asking for my advice and not taking it
Anyway, I was in a foul mood that day after feeling that I had been walked over yet again. However, while I was walking along the roadside, I found the following verse on my mobile app which comforted me.

"Set Your Face Like Flint":
7 But the Lord God helps me; therefore I have not been disgraced; therefore I have set my face like a flint, and I know that I shall not be put to shame.  (Isaiah 50 : 7 - ESV)

This page has also been an encouragement to me in bearing with fair-weather friends.
