Renegades

I feel so lazy today, well, yesterday. So lazy, and so guilty. Got caught up with remade childhood cartoons and just couldn't let go. I spent the morning reading about TMNT's unknown straight-to-DVD movie, "Turtles Forever" on a review blog and then the afternoon mashing the past series' theme songs together as a tribute to the turtles. I'm not good with audio editing but I just had to do it or I would lose my inspiration. Just like how I forget about my dreams if I wait too long to write it down.

I thought I hadn't dreamt at all last night but it came to me later in the day and that deja vu feeling told me that I had indeed dreamt it. In my dream, I was bolder, doing and saying things I probably would not in real life. The thrill of it coursed through me.

Anyway, next up is G.I. Joe: Renegades, the fresh take on the G.I. Joe series.

Roadblock: How about you, Snake Eyes? Do ninjas celebrate the holidays at the dojo?

Tunnel Rat: Yeah, they take the star off the tree and they throw it at each other.

Sweet. G.I. Joe: Renegades may be low quality visuals, but the storyline makes up for it. Sure, it's not as hardcore as the other G.I. Joe series but it's enough to keep me interested. Heck, it brought me back to G.I. Joe. Anyway, I like the main team. They seem like an alternate Teen Titans team.

Duke or Scarlett = Robin

Roadblock = Cyborg

Tunnel Rat or Ripcord = Beast Boy

Snake Eyes = Raven

I used to watch G.I. Joe & G.I. Joe Extreme in my childhood days, but it's all part of a blurry mirage. So I'm pretty much starting on this new series with a blank slate. I like the idea of the Joes being constantly on the run, trying to clear their names. They can't trust almost everyone, no thanks to unwanted publicity of them as criminals. Whatever it is, I'm staying tuned.
