And so, the other day, my classmates and I were having a discussion about bioethics, and one of them said that if she could select the genes of her child, she would mix Brad Pitt (for his looks) and Albert Einstein (for his brain). Well, imagine what would happen if the child had Einstein's looks and Pitt's brains... Whatever it is, messing with nature usually ends up with disastrous results, so it's probably better to leave that to God.
While I'm still on the topic of kids, I'll talk a little bit about a new Winter 2011 anime called Beelzebub. I won't go into a detailed review of the anime, because you can read anime blogs for that. Anyway, this is my favourite scene in the opening theme. Seeing a high school juvenile delinquent preparing a bottle feed is either the ultimate irony (a violent youth caring for a baby) or congruence (immaturity). Why does Zatch Bell suddenly ring a bell?
For now, Beelzebub is doing fine with its baby formula, but is likely to end up with fillers and overused jokes. Hopefully, Beelzebub will prove me wrong and bring in more surprises.
