Power Rangers RPM

Power Rangers RPM premiered in the US in March 2009. The series started off great with some major changes - no ending theme to channel more time to story development; no 5-word-titles to allow for more creative titles. However, I did notice that the plots seemed to borrow ideas from other seasons:

Green rangers are usually portrayed as comic reliefs
Sky cowboy Joel, clumsy/naive Trip, weird Bridge, overconfident slacker Xander, & now Ziggy?

Wild Force
Rangers had powers from the start (Good thing, 'cos it saves time on the introduction. Anyway, sooner or later, there'll be flashbacks of the beginning, which counts for creative storytelling.)

SPD
Jack & Z (as criminals) = Dillon & Ziggy?

Operation Overdrive
How Miratrix met the rangers = Tenaya 7?
Mack = Dillon?

Ranger Yellow Part 1 & 2

The only thing I enjoyed from Part 1 was the ranger Q&A session and the Summer-T7 battle.

Random complaints from here on. Summer's back story was really unbelievable. With parents & friends like Summer's, who needs enemies? And fire that darn soldier already! Max capacity, my foot. He's the one taking up most of the space. If only that Venjix cruiser blasted that jeep. I can't believe that "friend" of Summer's dared to show her face at the wedding. Seriously, a wedding in a garage? Who will buy that lie?

Ok. Great stuff to talk about now.

• Ziggy's hair > Scott's hair
• Flynn talks pretty (Props on all the Scottish references, kilts & all)
• Hey, Dillon, any advice for kids who look up to you?
• About that spandex...
• Way to stand up for Summer, Dillon.
• Looks like Flynn's all over the party & Ziggy's in it for the cash.
• Good flashbacks in Part 2 linking to the present Summer. (R.I.P. Andrews)
