After The Power

It has been a great honour to receive e-mails over the years from some of the PR cast. They are really sweet people for taking the time to reply to fan e-mails. After watching some Power Morphicon video clips on YouTube, I have gained a newfound respect for actors and actresses, especially for the cast of Power Rangers.

I must say, it is not easy to make it big as an actor, so most people would just accept any gigs they are offered. People often think that actors that star in Power Rangers are just desperate for a job. Perhaps, but anyone would do the same if they had no other choice. Acting on PR involves huge sacrifices because firstly, they have to undergo a lot of training for fight scenes (which in PR, is plenty). Their work hours are long and it takes a toll on their physical strength.

However, I am glad that Power Rangers is able to open up some doors for the actors to other opportunities. Some have ventured into the music industry or continued their acting careers. Others take a step back and return to their previous jobs. Head over to After the Power to find out what the Power Rangers actors/actresses have been up to after hanging up their spandex.

I give a salute to the cast and crew of Power Rangers. May the Power live on forever.

The e-mails below are listed from the latest to the earliest.

A Personal Note From Bruce Kalish
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I just wanted to relate to you all that the entire crew, cast and staff's thanks for supporting S.P.D. in whatever way you chose. Both Ranger Board and Henshin Justice gave us all lots of laughs, intelligent insights and some good ideas...Though, unfortunately, we were usually way past the point of being able to implement them in the show. Mystic Force is well into production and I can promise you that I have learned a lot, will still bring fresh ideas to Power Rangers and try to filter in some of the past to acknowledge your history... Had a little breather where I could watch a few shows from past seasons (under your "gentle" urging me to do so).

As a unit, all of us involved with S.P.D. can say from the bottom of our hearts that we gave it our all and will continue to do so.

On a personal note I want to thank all of the shows supporters in whatever form you took. Some wrote rave reviews, some came to Los Angeles, Comicon or Youmacon to meet cast and staff. Hopefully you all enjoyed it as much as we did. And there were a small minority of you who didn't like the show or didn't like the way I produced it...or both. But thank you for not being able to stay away. Love it... Hate it... You watch it then I've done my job.

I know I've been asked to come onto the board and defend the S.P.D. season. I have not and have no intention in doing so. I done my best. I've given two interviews. Three convention appearances where I've never avoided a question. I delivered a show that by a majority of the viewers and 100% of my cast, crew and network are proud of... My work is on film for you all to see and judge in whatever way you see fit. I have received threats. I have had personal attacks written about my family. I've had personal attacks made about my writing staff. I've made mistakes. I've hit home runs... Bottom line... I feel no need to defend or debate any of my choices to anyone but those I work for...And they haven't asked for me to do so.

Perhaps if you have questions for me or those I work with...Come to the next convention and we can answer them for you.

And, thanks to all the fans I've met and have corresponded with over the last year. I've enjoyed it all.

My best, B

Just want to let you all know that I am still reading all of your mail. I apologize for the long response times, but I've been crazy busy filming a new Dreamworks movie called "She's the Man." I'm really excited about the project and I think it'll be great. I hope you all are still enjoying the show. I will have an official website up soon, so I'll keep you all posted.

Thanks again for liking what we do.

PS. For those who requested interviews, I would be honored to do one, but it will probably have to be after i'm wrapped from my new film.

Hey,

Thank you for watching and writing. I'm glad you enjoy the show.

The cast all get along really well. We've become great friends. The amazing thing is that we're all very different from one another, and when we're together it works.

I'll be sure to tell them you say hello.

Brandon Jay

~* Glenn McMillan aka Dustin Brookes (Power Rangers Ninja Storm) *~Hi,

Thanks for your e-mail. I'm glad to hear you enjoyed the show.
I really enjoyed playing Dustin on PRNS...he was the kind of character i could never get sick of playing, which is a good thing seeing as it was such a long shoot. I'm probably not as high energy as Dustin, or as vague, but I think I have much the same good intentions as always has. Also, I enjoy riding moto-cross and love mechanics and that kind of motor stuff.
It's been a while since I have been in touch with most of the other guys from the show. I talk to Jason Chan pretty much every week, and I always stay with him when I go over to Sydney. Adam Tuominen was originally from Adelaide, so we usually catch up when we are both there at the same time. But even though we don't keep in touch all that much, doesn't mean we are any less of friends. When you spend that much time with a group of people, you always have a connection to each other.

Thanks again for writing in. All the best.
Glenn Mc.

To my fans.

I want to start off by thanking all of you for finding the bubsy website and supporting my career. I have had alot of emails since the inception of the website and am trying to respond in groups based on your questions rather than try and answer each individually.

Power Rangers was a great experience, some of the best times of my life were on that set as we each became somewhat of an extended family for that year. Some of us still keep in touch and talk of those times. I personally still talk to Dan Southworth, Erin Cahill, Sean CW Johnson and Kate whom played Nadira. Auditioning for Power Rangers was almost a three month process with 5 different auditions. They cast across the country so the numbers involved were very large. We have been told MANY times how special our cast and season was. To this day I still receive email from fans and occasionally still get recognized on the streets.

After Power Rangers things were tough but I continued to audition and work hard to get back to that level. Alexander the Great which I recently appeared on The Discovery Channel was another wonderful experience. I had to learn ancient Greek for my dialogue and increase my knowledge of sword fighting and horseback riding. Some of I feel my best footage is on that show as I once again found myself opposite Dan Southworth whom played Eric on the Power Rangers. Footage of Alexander can now be found on the bubsy website under my trailer information.

Finally I took a turn at Producing for "Pact" which is our festival nominated short film that you saw on the www.bubsy.net website. We are still trying to sell or turn that project into a feature length script.

Hopefully this answered a lot of your questions, if everything wasn't answered please understand it's hard to individually write back to everyone.
Some of you asked for autographed pictures. If you want a picture send an 8x10 self addressed stamped envelope to:
18408 Hatteras St. Suite #19
Tarzana, CA. 91356
in C/o of Jason Faunt

I will get all mail from there and be happy to send back an autographed picture. Please don't forget to put postage on the envelope or it will not be sent back.

Thank you all again in this group for following my career and starting up the websites. I do look at them and am extremely proud of the work you've done. I'm working hard out here and take pride in being accessible to my fans. That will never change and someday you'll be able to follow me on the big screen.
Best of luck to all of you!
Your friend,
Jason Faunt
