Batman

There were numerous Batman movies that were made over the past decades. Actors such as Michael Keaton (Batman & Batman Returns), Val Kilmer (Batman Forever), George Clooney (Batman & Robin) & most recently, Christian Bale (Batman Begins, The Dark Knight) got to put on the suit and play the iconic hero.

Having watched all the old Batman movies several times, I think that Christian Bale fitted into Bruce Wayne's shoes best. Batman Begins was impactful mainly because the themes in the movie were the darkest and most mature compared to the past Batman movies. Though Batman Begins was a little confusing due to the constant flashbacks, the story plot was well developed and very elaborate, making the origin of Batman a sensible one.

The Dark Knight is definitely the best Batman movie so far. Great acting, great script. The serious tone present throughout the movie will grip you till the very end. Gotham City reflected the real world society very closely and the characters were realistically portrayed.

The scene in The Dark Knight where hostages were forced to choose between saving themselves VS saving the people on the other boat really stuck in my mind. It made me think about the harshness of reality where it's a dog-eat-dog world. The Joker reminds me of Johan in the anime, Monster. He's like a psycho who enjoys creating chaos among people and watching everyone kill each other, like a person causing disorder to a trail of ants.
