Extreme Ghostbusters

Despite all the hate towards this series, I still love the catchy opening theme, the characters and the classic lines. Definitely worth the rewatch. Watching Eduardo and Garrett bickering like an old couple amuses me, though I 'ship EdKy.

There's so many things to love about this underrated cartoon:
1. Females get to kick ecto-plasmic butt.
2. Despite the wheelchair, Garrett pulls his own weight and doesn't give a crap about self-pity.
3. Nerdy humour and cheap puns.
I remember the episode "Fear Itself", where everyone had to face their worst fear.

XD Egon's fear was really funny - the fear of being seen naked in public! Funny how he could stay calm in that situation. Slimer's fear of broccoli really flipped me out! Garrett had his claustrophobia to worry about, Roland had his fear of machines that come to life, Eduardo faced his fear of death and Kylie with her fear of giant worms...

I also found Eduardo's crush on Kylie strange but cute. In the first two-episode arc, Kylie was possessed and tried to kill Eduardo by luring him to a deserted alley and seducing him. That was really hilarious 'cos Eduardo thought Kylie really liked him and was giddy with happiness. After the whole incident, the ghost was trapped and Kylie didn't remember anything, including Eduardo's revelation of his hidden feelings. In another episode, Eduardo's worst nightmare was being rejected by Kylie and going bald. I suppose he had gotten over his fear of death by that time. It sucks that even with all the EdKy moments, nothing ever really came out of it. Ed was even smitten by one of the witches in the last episode. One can only hope for the future.

Post-Apocalyptic Future theories and speculation

• The teen from the future did not recognise Garrett, possibly because either Garrett died as an unknown hero or he could have gone underground and joined the mole people. Or perhaps he could have gotten a pseudonym and became an author.
